Welcome to Grant Scarsdale Photography!

Indian Creek, Buffalo National River

This was the first photograph that made me realize that I had just undertaken a life long journey of serious exploration through photography.  A good friend and I had decided that we needed to explore Indian Creek after a week long rain system had inundated the area with lots of the glorious liquid H2O.  We had arrived at Kyles Landing early that morning while it was still raining and the downpour continued as we made our way up the canyon.  This was the spectacular dreamscape that we were blessed to see.  The trip out of the canyon was another story!  We bushwhacked straight up the hillside to try to find the old trail that runs along the top of the canyon.  My navigation skills were in serious question until we broke out onto the road and had a nice hike back into Kyles.  This hike was a proving ground for both us in numerous ways!

Since that hike, I have spent lots of time snapping pictures while trying to develop my composition style.  I am very proud of how far I have come since starting my endeavors with a point and shoot camera and to where I have grown thus far.  Every day that I am able to shoot is a blessed day and I feel that the possibilities are endless.
